Welcome to The Garage International at Adelaide Fringe 2009.

Our move to North Adelaide last year was a great success and we are happy to continue on.

We have a variety of dance, theatre, music, cabaret and visual art from all over the world to entertain and educate you in our 3 venues:

North Adelaide Community Centre is a beautiful heritage listed hall with high ceilings and wonderful acoustics.  The hall has a sense of vastness.  It is just around the corner from the library and post office.

UNLV is back with the sequel to their popular cabaret, Sin City.  This is a show full of song, music and dance direct for Las Vegas.
Miss K is another snazzy cabaret from Melbourne.  She is brash and lovely.
Dance lovers will be overjoyed at our programme which most probably hosts over half the dance shows in the whole fringe.
Fringe icon, Shakti, will present a radical version of Swan Lake and a new interpretation of Salome.  She will have both Tchaikovsky and Oscar Wilde turning in their graves!
Dancescapes will show an array of quality contemporary dance pieces by UNLV.
Straight from Taiwan is Shang Orientheatre with their spiritual and beautiful dance, Bardo Todel, based on the Buddhist Text, The Tibetan Book of the Dead. First time in Australia.
For ethnic dance fans, there will be Classical Indian Dance and the ever popular colorful  Dances of India.

For something different, how about an event painting live to Vivaldi and having the painting become a dance?
A new venture by Mieko Nishimura and Shakti.
