Le VasantaMala Indian Dance Institute a ete fonde par VasantaMala, la mere de Shakti, qui etait la premiere femme japonaise a apporter la Danse indienne au Japon. Lfecole est fondee en 1968 a Kyoto. Shakti a danse avec sa mere depuis l'age de trois ans et elle a continue son entrainement la et maintenant, construit une branche a Tokyo. On a toujours les etudes des danses classique de lfInde et les danses folklorique. The VasantaMala Indian Dance Institute was founded by VasantaMala, Shakti's mother, who was the first Japanese woman to introduce Indian Dance in Japan. The institute was founded in 1968 in Kyoto. Shakti started dancing with her mother since the age of 3 and she continutes her training and now has built a branch in Tokyo.
