Rashomon

Based on the story by Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Rashomon deals with the perception of reality and the meaning of truth.
What is truth?
The dance does not follow the storyline but interpretes the symbolism of the characters in an abstract way.
The Savage - The Bandit
The Intellect - The Husband / Samurai
Eros - The Woman
The Woodcutter - The Audience

Rashomon takes Eros, the Woman as the energy that links and joins the other forces.  She is the only one portrayed as a 'live' entity.  Eros, life energy, plays with each and brings them to life.  Truth is subjective.  It takes different forms in different circumstances. 
It is a play in time.
