Heart, Sword and Perserverance -Based on the art of Ninjutsu, this documentary features Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi as well as Bud Malmstrom and Roy Wilkinson. This documentary on Ninjutsu and Ninja focuses on demystifying the Ninja, in order to reveal a more historically accurate warrior. -Writer/Director/Producer/Editor/DP: Andrew Bush -Sound Designer: Michael Schapiro Andrew Jonathan Bush was born in Birmingham, Alabama and lived in Elmore County, Alabama, until the age of fourteen. At that time he moved with his family to Griffin, Georgia, 40 miles south of Atlanta. He was graduated Salutatorian of his high school class at Grace Academy in 2002 and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film and Television from Savannah College of Art and Design in June of 2006. Having a special interest in Japanese and Asian culture in addition to martial arts, Andrew has visited Japan twice and will possibly pursue a filmmaking career there following his college graduation. His senior thesis, Heart, Sword,and Perseverance includes an interview with the 34th Dan, The Grand Master of Ninjutsu, Dr. His name who has been called “The Last Ninja.” This film project will be sent to film festivals worldwide in 2006 and so on. |
