Vasantamala Indian Dance Institute （ＶＩＤＩ）
The VasantaMala Indian Dance Institute was founded by VasantaMala who was the first Japanese woman to introduce Indian Dance to Japan.
This is where Shakti was trained.
The institute officially opened in 1968 in Kyoto.
Now it has a branch in Tokyo Shakti Studio as well.
Classes consist of South Indian Dance, Bharata Natyam technique combined with body exercises and folk dances.
